Home at Last!

Daddy made it home, YAY! Mama and Papa and Aunt Stacy did a great job filling in all week, and Jackson had lots of fun playing with cousin Maddy, but there's just nothing like chillin with Daddy!

Daddy's Coming Home Today

YAY!! Daddy's comes home from Canada today and we are VERY excited to see him. We missed him lots!

Fire Department

Believe it or not, we have our own firefighting team here on the Cook Farm. See, Grandpa has been know in previous years to have a fire or two (well actually 3 in one year) pop up during harvest time, so we like to tease him a little bit and call him the Fire Chief. One Christmas he even got his one firefighter's hat, and Kelly had special shirts made for the whole fam - he's wearing one in the picture below...

Daddy's the Best

It was rough, but we made it through a whole day without Daddy. We got to hang out with Mama and Papa and aunt Stacy and cousin Maddy AND watch the Illini play!

But, there's nothing like relaxing with Daddy after a "hard day's play". Only a few more days until Jackson can do this again!

This One's for Daddy!

Since Daddy is off to the frozen tundras of Canada, Jackson and Mommy decided to post a picture we know he'll love... Daddy absolutely LOVES Jackson's long hair, and is always joking about giving him a mohawk. We didn't go quite so far as to get a haircut, but an after-bath mohawk looks pretty darn cute, too!

Daddy is off to Canada for the week for work, playing with his great big Caterpillar trucks... we'll miss him lots!

Weekend Trip

This past weekend we made our first trip with Jackson away from home to visit family... first up was the "Cook Side", where we were lucky enough to have my whole family in town. Then it was off to the see some of the "Tautkus side", with a quick stop in Neponset where Grandma Peggy peeked through the window at Jackson (she was sick and didn't want to risk passing anything on) and then off to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Tautkus. Grandpa Mike even came over to hang out, too! Definitely a fun-filled trip!
