Halloween Fun

Caroline's first holiday was definitely a success... granted, she slept through most of the "trick-or-treat" excitement, but hey she looked absolutely adorable as a little pumpkin ballerina. And big brother Jackson was definitely a hit decked out as a farmer with his John Deere tractor costume. He and Daddy had quite the fun time making this one, and I do have to say it turned out pretty neato - complete with working headlights and taillight!

Kevin & Gina's Wedding!

We had a great weekend - Jackson was the ring bearer in Kevin & Gina's wedding, which meant a busy and fun-filled weekend with family and friends! Soooo many pictures it was hard to narrow down, but here are some of my favorites from the weekend.

Birthday Weekend Extravaganza

Whew, what a weekend! Lots to talk about this weekend... let's see, it all begins with Daddy starting to build a deck... the deck nears completion as Mommy nears the big 3-0... deck is UP... family fun at a birthday party... and Mommy is officially 30. Good thing it was a long weekend, we all needed Memorial Day to first thank all those who've served, and second recover from all this excitement!

Football Fans

Jackson is now an official Illini baby... he made it to his first football tailgate and game! We cheered on the Illini as they beat Illinois State University this past Saturday. As usual, he did great and was quite the little charmer with everyone!

Fair Fun

This past weekend we headed up to Grandma and Grandpa's and out to the Whiteside County Fair... lots and lots of fun! Well, ok, there are only a few rides that little guys can go on, but we still had a great time!

It's been a long week around the Tautkus household... our little man spent the majority of last week down and out with what turned out to be a double ear infection and some kind of stomach bug.

He's made a wonderful recovery now and is back to his happy self going a mile a minute. Definitely testing out the big-boy crawling skills chasing Bubba around the house, and pulling up on everything he can get his hands on to stand up and check things out. And of course let go and assume Mommy or Daddy or someone will be there to catch him. Funny how being so fearless can be such an amazing thing to watch!

Pool Party

Jackson had a great time escaping from the heat and taking a dip in his new pool on Saturday. No surprise given his adventures in the bathtub - he loves the pool, too!

Zoo-mania!

Mommy and Daddy decided to take advantage of a week off of work and the beautiful weather today and take Jackson for his first trip to the zoo! Miller Park Zoo is a smaller local zoo, but a good addition to Jackson's list of firsts... he really enjoyed walking around in the stroller and checking everything out. Maybe didn't really pay a whole lot of attention to the animals yet, but he enjoyed being out and about all the same - although as you'll see in the pictures, he didn't quite make it to all the way through the zoo before he was all tuckered out! =)
