August Recap

August... well, it seems that August has flown right by without a blog post. So that no one misses a WHOLE MONTH of Jackson, we'll have to have a catch-up post to highlight some of our fun! Here goes...

Lots of fun decorating Daddy's Birthday Cake!

Music Day at Daycare... we love to dance!

Papa's first place pumpkin

Cruising on the fair rides

Woohoo, a semi ride - always a big hit with this boy!

Random self portrait with Mommy

Finally, a pic with Grandma and Papa and all the Grandkids!

Just the cousins

Can you believe it, Jackson already took his first airplane ride! He had a GREAT time with Daddy, Stephie, Chris and Papa T!

Checking out the sights with Daddy... I think Daddy was just as happy as Jackson to be up in that airplane!

More Wedding Shots

Yep, I'm doing it... I'm absolutely going to repost a couple of the pictures that Kevin and Gina's photographer posted as a sneak peak on her blog yeseterday. Feel free to check out the link to see a few others. She did an amazing job capturing this wonderful wedding day and I can't wait to see more!

LOVE this shot with the columns... I remember telling Erik how great it was going to look when she was taking it, and I was right!

ADORABLE kiddos that did such a great job!

Now this is some fun on the field at Memorial Stadium. We especially like Uncle Chris's Heisman pose in this pic (2nd guy from the left), so fitting for the football field!

Kevin & Gina's Wedding!

We had a great weekend - Jackson was the ring bearer in Kevin & Gina's wedding, which meant a busy and fun-filled weekend with family and friends! Soooo many pictures it was hard to narrow down, but here are some of my favorites from the weekend.

STUD MAN!

The reception was at Memorial Stadium, so cool & lots of fun!

Daddy had Jackson gearing up for football practice already!

Daddy looks pretty darn happy to be on the field!

Football Fans

Jackson is now an official Illini baby... he made it to his first football tailgate and game! We cheered on the Illini as they beat Illinois State University this past Saturday. As usual, he did great and was quite the little charmer with everyone!
I've put a bunch of pictures in the slide show, but thought I'd point out a few of my favorites

First, of course, we have one of Daddy with a big ol smile because Jackson is at his first tailgate and game!
Next up, a picture at the start of the game with the team running onto the field...
and Jackson's reaction - SO EXCITED! =) He's a natural Illini fan, what can we say?!

Birthday Wishes!

Today is Uncle Chris's Birthday... we hope he has a great one! We've both come a long way from when I was this tiny....

And today we're best buds!

And maybe the Cubbies can pull off a win and make his birthday even more fun!

Lazy Sunday

Hmm... what have we done lately. Well, we had a fabulous time Friday with Daddy - Jackson and Daddy both wore their Cat shirts to celebrate the chance for some father/son bonding - and we took advantage of the beautiful weather to take Jackson for a walk in his stroller.

Coordinating Cat Shirts!

Out for a stroll...
After some more fun playing and chilling on Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa Tautkus came down for a visit Saturday night and watched Jackson while Mommy and Daddy went out for dinner... our first without the little man! And yes, we all survived. =) Then on Sunday, Uncle Chris and Aunt Stephie came over for a little while to hang out and get their Jackson fix, too.

Unfortunately, Mommy didn't do so good on getting new pictures with everyone, so instead here's one of Jackson playing on his tummy and working on holding up his head... he's getting pretty good at it, and doesn't usually cry right away when we lay him down anymore!
