Finally, some nice weather and the chance to head outside... and test out Jackson's new wheels on the road!

Mom's Little Helper

Yep, I have one great little helper around the house these days. He's a great organizer in the pantry...

and of course he still loves his Bubba! Here we have Jackson ever-so-kindly trying to feed Bubba the Mac 'n Cheese he just took out of the pantry! =)

I think I'll hire him out to start a college fund... anyone need some help? I hear Aunt Kelly and Uncle Ron are busy unpacking after their new house renovations and there's a nice pantry over there, too; that could be fun!

Reading is such fun!

One of our favorite things these days around the Tautkus household is books, books, and more books. We LOVE to read. We really have this great system worked out, too. Jackson picks out a book he likes and brings it over, then cuddles up in your lap. And then Mommy and Daddy read the books as fast as they possibly can while Jackson flips through the pages. =) He has his favorites, like Polar Bear, Polar Bear, and the big book of nursery rhymes. But really any book will do, as long as it has lots of pages to look at and flip through!

Seriously, though, Jackson's love for books is amazing and something we hope stays with him for a long, long time!

And, well, you need to have some fun while you're reading, right?!

One Handsome Lil Man

Mommy and Daddy decided it was time to get Jackson a real, professional haircut... we've done our best over the past few months to keep Jackson's hair under control and out of his eyes, but it was definitely time for someone with some training to take a crack at it.

We found the cutest place here in Bloomington that actually caters to kids - it's called Cookie Cutters. They have fun stuff for the lil kiddos to do while they're waiting their turn like a jungle gym with a slide, and the kids get to sit in neato things like tractors, planes, cars, and watch a movie while they're getting their hair cut!

Jackson got to test out driving this sweet little car for his first haircut.

It was really a fun experience right up til the point where they stylist starting cutting his hair. One major meltdown later and he has his first professional haircut. What a handsome little devil!

I promise...

to really try and update the blog more often than I have over the last few weeks. So much has been going on with birthdays and holidays and, well, you know how it's been, you've all experienced it, too! =)

But that will have to start later, as I'm still super swamped! So here's a teaser to keep you coming back for more. I mean really, who could resist this lil man?!
