Big Boy Room

As we get closer and closer to the arrival of Baby Girl T, we're not finding ourselves lacking for any projects... take, for one, the preparations for Jackson's Big Boy Room! Since our little man LOVES anything related to cars, trucks, semis, tractors, airplaces, etc. these days, we're going to set him up with a great new transportation-themed room!

Here we have Daddy with one of the weekend projects to get the room started - painting! And of course Jackson had to come check it out. Yep, the little stinker walked right through the paint tray! =)

I'm liking the color we picked more and more... might have something to do with these gorgeous baby blues =) They seem to have the uncanny ability to change shades to match pretty much any blue close to this!

Birthday Weekend Extravaganza

Whew, what a weekend! Lots to talk about this weekend... let's see, it all begins with Daddy starting to build a deck... the deck nears completion as Mommy nears the big 3-0... deck is UP... family fun at a birthday party... and Mommy is officially 30. Good thing it was a long weekend, we all needed Memorial Day to first thank all those who've served, and second recover from all this excitement!

The Gun Show

As it's a rather dreary Friday outside, I thought I'd inject a little fun and humor into the day with this post... Daddy has been working with Jackson on showing off his guns. So, what do you think of the Gun Show? I think the spaghetti really gives it that finishing touch! =)

Vacation!

What a weekend! We headed off Thursday night for a mini-vacation in Chicago... off to show Jackson Shedd Aquarium and Brookfield Zoo. It was a successful trip all around as we saw all kinds of buses, airplanes and trains in Chicago (some of Jackson's favorites these days) and lots and lots of animals at Shedd and Brookfield. He was one excited - and very tired - little man this weekend!
